About Wallace WondersWallace Wonders is all about "hands on" exploration and reflection on what I am exploring. This past school year has been a kind of "re-entry" for me as I have completed the MN requirements to renew my lapsed teaching license. As part of that process, I spent lots of time in classes, observing in media centers, and substitute teaching. I spent lots of time creating a vision of the work I want to do as a library media specialist.
Now that I have been hired as a library media specialist, it's time to put that vision into action. So in preparation for the fall, I am going to use this space to explore -- new technologies, professional reading, makerspaces, curriculum, personalized learning and much more. And because I've been away from the profession for a while, lots is new to me. And that's OK, as I'm building on the learning I do every day. I've decided that Wallace Wonders is a MESSY space, in that, it's a place for me to share my ideas fast! I'm queen of the proof reading (I can spend hours on an important email), and I just can't do that here. The goal is to talk about what I am exploring and what I'm thinking -- so I am giving myself permission to post quickly, to ramble on and on, and to have lots of grammatical errors. Because the goal is not to be perfect. The goal is to explore, to wonder, to learn. I'm excited to see where that will take me! |
